The Board of Trustees of the Baptist Foundation of South Carolina have voted to temporarily authorize Valerie E. Rumbough, Chief Operations Officer, to perform the duties of the President of the Baptist Foundation until a successor for retired Weldon F. Fallaw is named and in place.  The Board voted at their October 15, 2009 to provide this authority to Mrs. Rumbough in the event that a replacement had not been named for Mr. Fallaw, who retired on December 31, 2009.  Mrs. Rumbough has served the Foundation since 2000 and has been responsible for assisting the President with administering the affairs of the corporation, with emphasis on accounting matters and internal audits, since her promotion to Chief Operations Officer in May of 2008. 

The Foundation's Presidential Search Committee is currently reviewing potential candidates for the position of President and hope to identify a successor for Mr. Fallaw during the first quarter of 2010.
